    FEEL THE LIGHTNESS WITH VENACTIV

The sensation of heavy legs is, in most cases, due to venous insufficiency resulting from factors that hinder the return of blood to the heart, which leads to stagnation of blood in the veins, causing dilation.

Varicose veins can appear when the vein walls and valves are already severely damaged. In the early stages, the sensation of heavy legs appears at the end of the day, and there may be ankle swelling, itching, and cramps. A sedentary lifestyle, obesity, heat, and wearing tight clothing are determining factors in the onset and development of venous insufficiency, which can be corrected.

Age (more common after the age of 40, although it can also occur during adolescence), heredity and sex (more common in women than in men) are important factors in determining the risk of developing venous insufficiency.

Venactiv Gel is a moisturizing, nourishing gel rich in natural active ingredients with a relaxing and refreshing effect on the legs. It relieves the feeling of tired, heavy legs. It contains horse chestnut and witch hazel extracts with revitalizing and protective effects. Caffeine and Ginkgo Biloba extract mobilize energy locally, eliminating the feeling of heavy legs. Vitamin Pearls nourish and soften the skin, leaving it hydrated and healthy.

    RECOMMENDATIONS:

ü Moderate physical exercise – swimming, walking, cycling. The most appropriate activity for a particular case should be determined by the respective therapist.

ü Maintain an adequate weight – through a low-calorie diet, restricting the intake of salt, alcohol, saturated fats and spices.

ü Stop smoking – reduces the risk of developing a complication.

ü Avoid direct heat sources – do not expose your limbs to radiators, heaters, or fireplaces. Do not use hot water bottles on your feet. Wash your lower limbs with warm water, alternating with cold water. Do not expose your lower limbs to sunlight.

ü Avoid a sedentary lifestyle – avoid spending too much time sitting or standing. If absolutely necessary, take three or four 10-minute breaks a day to move your limbs and massage them, from the bottom up, to stimulate blood flow.

ü Watch your posture – if you have to sit for a while, don't cross your legs. This position doesn't promote blood flow.

ü Be careful with clothing – avoid tight clothing (especially around the lower limbs and waist). Avoid wearing tight shoes, as well as high-heeled or completely flat shoes. Shoes should be between 3 and 4 cm high to maximize calf muscle function.

ü Take the utmost care with your foot hygiene and monitor their condition daily. If a wound appears, wash it with saline solution, dry it, and cover it with sterile gauze. If it doesn't heal in less than a week, seek help from a specialist. Feet should be washed with mild soap and warm water, alternating between cold and hot. Finally, they should be thoroughly and gently dried. Cut your nails straight and not too short. If calluses appear, consult a specialist.

ü Rest with legs elevated – at the end of the day, or after exercising, lie down and raise your legs above the level of your heart, and remain in this position for approximately 30 minutes.

ü Use of support stockings – There are elastic support stockings with various degrees of compression, and you should consult a specialist to choose the most appropriate one for your particular case. The compression they exert on the venous walls will benefit blood return to the heart.
