Ladrôme Organic Vanilla Oil Macerate 50ml is a food supplement obtained by macerating organic vanilla pods in organic sunflower and jojoba vegetable oils, enriched with vitamin E. In aromatherapy, the oil macerate obtained by macerating vanilla pods in neutral vegetable oils is ideal for nourishing, soothing, and promoting hydration of dry or damaged skin and hair. Particularly appreciated in summer as an after-sun treatment, it sublimates and delicately perfumes the skin while protecting it. Also ideal as a sensual and relaxing massage oil, it offers excellent glide on the skin and imbues it with an exquisite fragrance that will transport your senses.

    Oil Macerate: What is it?
An oil macerate is produced by infusing plants, flowers, leaves, or other plant parts in vegetable oil, usually for an extended period of time. The process involves leaving the plant material immersed in the oil, allowing the active principles of the plants to transfer to the base oil. The result is a mixture that contains both the properties of the base vegetable oil and the therapeutic properties of the macerated plants.

    Did you know that:
Vanilla is an epiphytic orchid that reaches 15 meters in length, native to Mexico. It was discovered among the Aztecs by Cortez (Mexico) and is currently cultivated in humid tropical regions (Réunion, Madagascar, Indonesia) on live cuttings, with yellowish-green flowers arranged in clusters and hand-pollinated. The "pod" is actually an initially odorless capsule, which is prepared by leaving the fruits to ferment for several weeks (exposed to the sun during the day and covered at night to avoid excessive cooling). Vanillin, the aromatic molecule responsible for its odor, represents 2% of the pod's mass. The fermented pods are sweet and fragrant, and very popular in cooking. They stimulate digestion, are choleretic (favor the production of bile by the liver) and aphrodisiac.
