    AGIFLEX®: promotes normal joint function as the ends of the bones that compose it are covered by a hard, elastic, whitish tissue called cartilage, which allows them to slide smoothly and acts as a cushion, absorbing the effects of impact and load during movement.

    For joint mobility to be excellent, the hyaline cartilage must be properly lubricated and smooth, in order to minimize friction caused by movement.

    Cartilage is composed of specialized cells, chondrocytes, which synthesize components of the extracellular amorphous matrix. This matrix is ​​composed primarily of collagen and proteoglycans (glucosamine chondroitin protein). Articular cartilage is flexible and lacks blood vessels, nourished by synovial fluid.

    Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring element in all living organisms that the human body uses to maintain tissue volume and lubricate it, protecting cells. It is a linear polysaccharide composed of disaccharide units containing N-acetyl-D-glucosamine and glucuronic acid.

    The viscoelastic properties of Hyaluronic Acid provide protective functions to synovial fluid, such as lubrication and shock absorption.

    The Bioflavonoids Quercetin and Narangin, with antioxidant activity, also inhibit the synthesis of substances involved in inflammation, which favors joint protection.
