    TENSICOR® is a dietary supplement based on Olive Leaf Extract, Garlic, Crataegus, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Selenium, which have the following properties and functions:

    Olive (Olea europea): Olive Leaf Extract: The olive tree has been used as a diuretic and hypotensive agent. Its hypotensive effect is documented due to the action of oleuropein, a vasodilatory compound that inhibits angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE).

    Hawthorn (Crataegus oxycantha): The hypotensive effects of hawthorn extracts were indicated by a combination of reduction in vascular resistance through relaxation of vascular smooth muscle, inhibition of eicosanoid synthesis, inhibition of angiotensin-converting enzyme, and mild diuresis.

    Garlic (Allium sativum): Garlic has been recommended for its antioxidant properties, helping to prevent cardiovascular diseases including atherosclerosis, reducing plasma cholesterol levels and blood pressure, and stimulating the immune system.

    Vitamin C: Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal functioning of blood vessels. It also contributes to the regeneration of the reduced form of vitamin E. It helps protect cells against unwanted oxidation.

    Vitamin E: Vitamin E's antioxidant properties are well-recognized, protecting cells from peroxidative damage. Blood pressure reduction is linked to inhibition of endothelin secretion, improving endothelial dysfunction and systemic vascular resistance.

    Selenium: Selenium is an essential element that functions as an integral part of the enzyme glutathione peroxidase and other selenoproteins. Selenium has antioxidant and immunological properties.
