Zanthin® Natural Astaxanthin is produced by the Valensa International laboratory and is a patented and ultra-potent carotenoid derived from microalgae (Haematococcus pulvialis), which are the richest natural source of astaxanthin.
Astaxanthin is a carotenoid that, due to its unique structure, offers a wide range of antioxidant benefits. A study comparing the efficacy of vitamin E and astaxanthin in preventing lipid peroxidation in vivo showed that astaxanthin is 550 times more effective.
Other studies have also shown that its antioxidant effectiveness is 10 times greater than that of beta-carotene. It can help protect cell membranes from damage caused by oxygen and free radicals and enhances the action of other antioxidants such as vitamins E and C.
Scientific studies have shown that astaxanthin can help support a healthy anti-inflammatory response, improve immune function, and provide neurological support. Recent research suggests that astaxanthin may help protect skin structure during sunlight exposure.
Astaxanthin belongs to the same family of molecules as beta-carotene and is one of the most powerful fat-soluble antioxidant compounds. One of the best dietary sources of astaxanthin is salmon, which stores it in muscle tissue to protect cell membranes from oxidative stress caused by the highly aerobic activities inherent in their migratory patterns.
Salmon eggs also contain large amounts of Astaxanthin, which protects the developing being from UV radiation and oxidation caused by the environment in the waters where they hatch.
Since our body does not produce it, Astaxanthin must be obtained through food or from dietary supplements that help compensate for nutritional imbalances resulting from unhealthy eating habits, which are so common today.
75x stronger than Alpha Lipoic Acid
